Antrodiella serpula (P. Karst) Spirin & Nieomela Syn. Antrodiella hoehnelii (Bres.) Niemela The fruit bodies form bracket like elastic extrusions on dead wood 2-5cm across the upper surface is creamy turning yellow with age; the under-surface has pores 3-5 per mm. Found on beech wood (Fagus) and other hard-woods; usually near Inonotus species. Spores smooth, small, 3.5-4x 1.5-2um. Many thanks to Miroslaw Wantoch-Rekowski for the photographs.
